A little orientation

New to this?
You’re welcome here.

Familiar steps give us a place to begin. Your own way of moving belongs in the dance.

Do I need to know the choreography?

You don’t need to arrive knowing the routines. We learn and revisit the phrases together, letting repetition make them familiar.

What if I need to slow down?

Make a movement smaller, pause, and return when you’re ready. Let your body guide your range and pace.

Can I join on my own?

Yes. Join from your own space and practice with the group on Zoom. You don’t need a dance partner.

What should I have ready?

A Zoom connection, a way to hear the music, and enough clear space to move without bumping into furniture. Wear clothes you can move in.

The practice

Familiar steps.
Room to be yourself.

Choreography gives us a shared language. What happens between us brings it to life.

01

Learn the dance.

Follow a phrase, find the rhythm, and let repetition make the movements familiar. You can begin exactly where you are.

02

Make it yours.

Enjoy your own tenderness, fierceness, sensuality, and silliness. Let the movements meet the body you have today.

03

Create together.

Listen, respond, and find a shared rhythm. Each person’s expression contributes to something we’re making together.

A note from Dina

Dance without
watching yourself.

These living-room dances from 2018 remind me what I love about this practice: the playfulness, the shared creation, the sheer full-body fuck-off-ness of letting ourselves move.

The purpose is to become more comfortable being fully expressed. To enjoy your body as it is. To love the way it wiggles.

In a culture chronically concerned with looking Instagram perfect and AI airbrushed, we practice becoming absorbed in the experience itself. Feeling the music. Enjoying a gesture. Letting ourselves dance.

You can arrive feeling self-conscious. Ease is something we practice together.

“To enter into communion with the music, the moment, and the movement.”

Your dance guide · Dina Love

In my bones
and blood.

I’m a Nia Black Belt–trained dance guide with 25 years of experience.

Although I’m no longer Nia-certified, I deeply value my ten-year education in The Body’s Way and The Joy of Movement. This dance language is in my bones and blood.

For nearly two decades, I taught four classes a week on the same dance floor. That rinse and repeat—the commitment to practice with a returning community, through all the contrasts of real life—continually refined my leadership.

Leading a group of mostly women over those years was both humbling and emboldening. It helped shape the powerful woman I am today and deepened my natural gifts for holding space for transformation.

That history lives in how I guide now: with warmth, discernment, playfulness, and a deep respect for what becomes possible when we commit to creating together.

With love, Dina

The dream we’re growing toward

Take it
to the streets.

A new collection of timeless, Nia-inspired routines we can return to for years. Dances to practice together in beautiful retreat locations, with music, shared meals, and time to connect—and carry home to our own communities.

Gather your people. Learn a dance. Revisit a favorite. Invite someone new. Let familiar movements become part of your shared history.

To remember what it feels like to be part of a life-giving community. To create together while remaining free to be yourself.

To belong without captivity.

A place to practice connection while keeping your own pace, limits, and choices.
